Some of the responsibilities of the auditor are:
- Audit bi-weekly payroll
- Process bills for payment
- Posting purchase orders and requisitions
- Maintain vendor files
- Monthly balancing with County Treasurer
- Process required 1099’s
- Prepare yearly county supply bid
- Sign merchant licenses and checks with County Collector to taxing districts
- Track physical inventory and post supply inventory for the county
- Prepare records and reports for outside audit
- Audit monthly: Associate Courts 5 & 6, Circuit Clerk, County Collector’s 5 accounts, County Recorder's 2 accounts, County Clerk, Sheriff Department's accounts, and Public Administrator
- Monthly reports to all elected officials and department heads
- Serve on Board of Equalization
- Serve as member of EMA Board
