The Sedalia-Pettis County Local Emergency Planning Committee met at the Sedalia-Pettis County Emergency Operations Center on 27 Jan 09 at 10:00 AM. Members present were:

Storm Spotter (Sky Warn) Training will be held 27 Jan 09 at 6:30 PM at the Celebration Center
The recent weather events that affected Pettis County: Information was presented on the 26-27 December 2008 Tornado Watch and weather events in the area on those days.
Information was presented on the updated Annex H to the Sedalia-Pettis County Local Emergency Operations Plan. The entire LEOP has undergone several updates and will go out for review shortly.
Reporting requirements for CAFO’s was presented to the LEPC. Information included what needed to be reported, quantities of ammonia and hydrogen sulfide, and why they were being reported. Once all information has been received it will be packaged and forwarded to the appropriate response agency.
There were no reported incidents in the 4th Quarter of 2008.
HMEP/LEPC Funding: We received $1000.00 from the MERC for HMEP funding.
EMA and the Sedalia Fire Department are working together to find/fund HAZMAT Tech level training in Sedalia.
It was approved by the LEPC to purchase 2 laptop computers using HMEP/LEPC funding. It is expected to cost $1400.00 for both computers.
A discussion was held about Mutual Aid systems being developed for regional EMS services.
